Registered Legal Executive

Associate of New Zealand Institute of Legal Executives

HARRIET READER

Originating from Auckland, Harriet moved to Stratford in 2017 and is now settled with her blended family, two deceptively fierce-looking but gentle dogs (true marshmallows at heart), and a cat who rules the household. After discovering the charm and lifestyle of Central Taranaki, Harriet is proud to call Stratford home; there’s truly nowhere else she’d rather be.

Harriet’s legal career spans more than a decade across private practice and government sectors, giving her a broad perspective on property law and legal administration. She holds a New Zealand Diploma in Legal Executive Studies (Level 6) from Toi Ohomai Institute of Technology and is committed to ongoing professional development.

Harriet works across the board in residential and commercial conveyancing, trust administration, wills, and enduring powers of attorney, and enjoys tackling complex property transactions that require a keen eye for detail. She brings clarity and confidence to clients navigating these challenges, ensuring compliance and smooth outcomes.

Outside of work, Harriet enjoys road trips with her family, trying new cafés and restaurants, and exploring the many great walks around the region - often with the dogs, depending on their behaviour. She also volunteers as a Leader with the Stratford Girl Guides, supporting local girls to learn new skills and grow in confidence. In addition, Harriet is a long‑time musical theatre enthusiast and is looking forward to returning to the stage, both on and off it, now that the children are getting older.
