MARK UTTING
 

Mark joined Thomson, O’Neil & Co in 2018 after moving to Taranaki from Auckland where he had his own practice from 2008 and previously practising as a Barrister.

Mark is primarily based in our Eltham office alongside Resident Partner, Robert England and also attends our Opunake office on Thursdays. 

Experience

Mark has 15 years experience in the legal field and brings with him a wealth of knowledge and expertise across a number of areas including criminal defence, family, property, trusts and estates. 

He undertakes a wide variety of work, including residential and rural conveyancing, relationship property, elder law and small to medium sized business structure and leases. 

Mark has a particular interest in trusts and multi-generational estate planning. In 2017 he completed the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP) New Zealand Diploma in Trusts and Estates. Mark is an Associate Member of STEP and since May 2018 he has been a Trustee of the Taranaki Rural Support Trust. 

Outside of work

Mark is interested in all things Winston Churchill and enjoys spending time with his two young daughters.
