PHILIP ARMITSTEAD
 

Philip is Stratford born and bred. He lives on the family farm out at Mahoe, and has another farming interest near Alton.

Philip has been practising as a Solicitor with Thomson, O'Neil & Co since 1991, becoming a partner in 1995.

Experience

Philip has extensive experience in all matters involving farming. He acts for many dairy farmers, sharemilkers, contract milkers and farm employees.

Philip also has extensive experience in farm access agreements with oil exploration companies and local authorities. He acts for a number of land owners with well-sites located on their farms, including for production purposes. He has a special interest in these types of access agreements and ensuring that farmers' interests are protected. This extends to granting oil exploration companies permanent easements over farmers' land.

Philip acts for a large number of clients outside Taranaki, and regularly meets with those clients at their home. As the firm has a large number of clients in the South Island, regular client visits to the South Island are undertaken.

Philip is available to discuss all legal matters and has significant experience in land, farming, trust law & commercial law.
