LLB, BA(History/Criminology)


Sarah is a Lawyer primarily based in our Eltham Office alongside Partner, Robert England and Consultant, Mark Utting.


Sarah began her legal career at Thomson, O'Neil & Co as a Summer Law Clerk before her fifth year of her LLB/BA at Victoria University of Wellington. In November 2020, Sarah joined us as a Law Clerk whilst completing her Professional Legal Studies. Following her graduation and admission to the bar in May and June of 2021, Sarah became a Lawyer of the firm. 



Sarah's practice primarily focusses on the family sphere.  Sarah has a broad range of experience in family matters including family violence, family protection claims, care and contact and guardianship matters, adoption, dissolution of marriage, protection orders and paternity matters.  Sarah also assists our clients with drafting and advising on Wills, Enduring Powers of Attorney and applications for Welfare Guardian, Property Managers or Administrators as well as all aspects of estate administration.  


Outside of family matters Sarah has assisted clients with general disputes involving the Disputes and Tenancy Tribunals.   

Sarah is also growing her expertise in the criminal sphere, assisting with applications for discharge without conviction, name suppression and stay of proceedings. She has also featured in judge alone trials and routinely assists our clients with applications for limited licences.  

Outside of work

Outside of work Sarah loves to get out and about exploring Taranaki's eateries and hiking trails, spending time with her partner & family and binge watching a good tv show when she can find the time.
