Sarah is a Lawyer primarily based in our Eltham Office alongside Partner, Robert England and Consultant, Mark Utting.
Sarah began her legal career at Thomson, O'Neil & Co in January 2020 as a summer Law Clerk before her fifth year of her LLB/BA at Victoria University of Wellington. In November 2020, Sarah joined us as a Law Clerk whilst completing her Professional Legal Studies. Following her graduation and admission to the bar in May and June of 2021, Sarah became a Lawyer of the firm.
Sarah has a range of experience in the family and criminal spheres, assisting with a broad range of family matters including family protection claims, care and contact and guardianship matters, adoptions, dissolution of marriage, protection orders and paternity applications. Sarah is steadily growing her expertise in the realm of personal planning assisting clients with Wills, Enduring Powers of Attorney, applications for Welfare Guardian, Property Managers and Administrators as well as general estate administration. She has also assisted a range of clients including tenants, businesses and sharemilkers with matters involving the Disputes and Tenancy Tribunals.
In the criminal defence sphere, Sarah has assisted with successful applications for discharge without conviction, orders for permanent name suppression, limited licenses and defending various MPI matters.
Outside of work
Outside of work Sarah loves to hit the gym, spend time with family and friends, explore Taranaki's eateries, hiking trails or binge watching a good television show when she can find the time.
